Case Studies

Multi-dimensional department financial statements with drill to detail Deploying Cognos business intelligence systems and small data marts at two Oregon hospitals. Both clients are using multi-dimensional analysis to report and analyze department level financial results.
Providing consulting services on Cognos Framework Manager modeling to a major Oregon health plan to ensure ease of maintenance and good performance against a very large data warehouse based on data from their FACETS operational system.
Designing a data mart for another Oregon health plan and helping them evaluate and select business intelligence tools appropriate for Outcomes Management and Utilization analysis.
Developing a custom performance management solution for a large Portland practice group to allow them to track the performance of their ownership group and allocate income accordingly.
Creating a complex data mart for yet another Oregon health plan that integrated Claims, Pharmacy and Membership data. We also assisted in deploying multi-dimensional analysis on top of the data mart for Disease Management and Utilization analysis.
Developed a custom content search application that allowed a major workers compensation insurance firm to do keyword searches to identify specific reports in a very large Cognos reporting environment.
Report query tuning for another workers comp provider around their claims data.
Developed a custom application to help a capitated mental health care organization manage information from providers as well as submit claims for reimbursement.
Worked with hardware engineers to develop a sophisticated automated testing system for non-implantable medical devices. This system allowed a small number of test operators to test multiple devices at a time and allow test management to quickly create and distribute and version tests and test suites.
